There’s really not much to say about Reno, so this will be a very short entry.
We literally just spent a night in Reno with no purpose except to sleep in a bed for the night en route to Oregon.
On the bright side, en route to our hotel, I got another Starbucks mug:
Mugs Collected:
New Mexico
Las Vegas
Disneyland
California Adventure
Orange County
San Francisco
California
Lake Tahoe
Reno seems like a nice city, although we didn’t get to explore it much.
It seems like a much tamer Vegas. There were Casinos and such, but we just didn’t have time to check it out.
We checked into our a hotel, a Holiday Inn Express near the airport. The hotel was very nice and had very high ceilings in the hotel room and Justin enjoyed the echo.
We also went to eat an an Applebees, where I had a yummy but spicy shrimp salad and Justin had a burger.
Then we went back to the hotel and soaked a bit in the hot tub, which was nice, it was basically empty and we had to the pool/tub to ourselves.
Then it was back to our room, we updated the blog, and went to bed.
The next morning, we grabbed the free continental breakfast, and it was off for another five or so hour drive to Oregon, home of Crater Lake National Park.
All in all, a good stay in Reno, it may be some place we come back to, especially due to its proximity to Lake Tahoe, just not quite as much of an adventure as the other days.
