Dover, U.K.

The last day of the cruise, and the day of our flight home.

Dover was a pretty city, from the little bit I saw. I saw the White Cliffs of Dover, and the Dover Castle from afar, but since we had to get to Heathrow Airport, we didn’t really get to explore any of it.

Not much to say about the last day. We had a two hour drive to the airport. Heathrow airport was a nightmare, but once we got through security, we just got to lounge in the swanky Virgin America lounge, which was huge, had a spa, a hair salon, a sun deck, free WiFi, and tons of free food and drinks.

The plane was pretty nice too. The seats in first class actually converted into beds, which was cool, but the flight itself wasn’t long enough that I felt a need to sleep on it, so I just read four books on that 7 hour flight. But the seats were sort of like diagonal and they had a foot rest, and you could control how much light came in through the windows, and there was also a bar on board with as much wine or soda or juice as you wanted, and free snacks. The plane also had lighting based on what time of day it was,so as it got close to sunset, the lights turned orange.

Then the plane landed, I got my luggage, my dad picked us up, and we went back to NJ. I Skyped with Justin for a bit before bed.

I’m so jet-lagged, I’m not sure what day it is anymore, and my brain is confused at what time it should be, as well, so I’m exhausted and cranky and tired, but it was totally worth it 🙂

I hope you’ve all enjoyed reading about my trip 🙂
